Pago de Peñarrubia is a premium organic extra virgin olive oil estate in Southeast Spain, born in 2014 from the union of two families with more than five generations devoted to olive oil production.
Located on a 400-hectare estate near the Sierra de Segura, we grow, harvest and mill our own olives directly on the farm. This estate-to-bottle approach allows us to maintain full control over quality, freshness and traceability at every stage of the process.
Our philosophy combines tradition, innovation and sustainability. We work exclusively with regenerative organic olives and apply farming practices focused on soil health, biodiversity and the responsible use of natural resources. By integrating our groves and mill within the same estate, we are able to follow circular-economy principles, making the most of our own resources and closing loops between the field and the mill.
Pago de Peñarrubia produces high-end organic EVOOs from carefully selected varieties, including Picual and Arbequina. Each oil is crafted to express the character of our land: freshness, balance, complexity and a deep connection with the Mediterranean landscape.
Pago de Peñarrubia is more than an olive oil. It is the expression of a family heritage, a living landscape and a way of farming that looks to the future while respecting the land that makes it possible.

Harvest:
November
Cultivar(s):
Picual
Tasting notes:
Organic extra virgin olive oil with a balanced high green fruity taste. On nose, we can clearly find fresh notes of green tomato and olive leaf. In mouth, we appreciate dried fruits, nuts and also green (green almond), a medium bitterness and a medium-high pungency. Some astringency is also perceived. All this makes our picual an ideal EVOO for the most intense pairings.
Serving suggestions:
Grilled meats and roasts Tomato-based dishes Strong vegetables Cured cheeses and charcuterie Blue fish and grilled fish Bread and simple tasting Dark chocolate and intense desserts
